Coral Bruce

Director of Operations

Coral Bruce joined BFG Financial Advisors in April 2020 as the firm’s Office Manager and elevated to Director of Operations in 2021. Coral works with the whole team to keep the office running smoothly, handling technical difficulties, ensuring the firm stays compliant, and overseeing the daily tasks of the company.

Before joining BFG, Coral worked as an Executive Assistant and Investor Relations for two well-known Baltimore-based venture capital firms since 2010. Prior to 2010, she held administrative roles in real estate, banking and corporate marketing.

Coral is a Baltimore native but escapes often to her family’s beach house on the beautiful sands of Massachusetts’s South Shore. When she isn’t working, you can hear her cheering for her teenage daughter on the sidelines of a soccer field, practicing her love of yoga and barre, or enjoying a sunset cruise with her husband on the Chesapeake Bay waters. 

Hannah Buckenmaier

Client Relations Associate

Hannah Buckenmaier joined BFG as a Client Relations Associate in June 2023.  Hannah will help build relationships with clients and be a reliable and consistent point of contact.

Hannah graduated from The University of Scranton in 2018.  Before coming to BFG, Hannah worked as a teacher for 4 years in the Baltimore area.  With her background in education, she has interpersonal and communication skills that will help her in her new role.

Hannah grew up in Annapolis and has lived in Baltimore since completing her master’s degree in 2021.  When not in the office, she can be found hiking, boating, or exploring the city of Baltimore.

Jonathan Flink

Client Service Associate

Jonathan Flink joined BFG Financial Advisors as a client service associate in May 2023. As a member of the Investment Operations team, Jonathan works with both his teammates and the advisory team to carry out financial plans for clients. He is passionate about the financial planning industry because it allows him to positively impact people’s lives by assisting clients in reaching their financial goals.  

Jonathan graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2018, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Prior to joining BFG, Jonathan worked as a Financial Service Representative and Investment Reporting Specialist for a Baltimore-based investment management company since 2019. 

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys traveling and exploring the Chesapeake Bay, preferably by sail or powerboat. 

Daniel Halla, CLU®

Senior Client Service Associate

Daniel Halla joined BFG Financial Advisors as a client service associate in July of 2018. Dan spends much of his day researching the best ways to implement risk management to his clients’ portfolios and is always looking for new products and strategies that will improve his clients’ financial plans.

Dan always puts in effort to get to know his clients beyond their financial wellbeing, coordinating plans and finding solutions that will have a positive impact on their lives as a whole, their families, and future generations. He encourages each client to ask questions throughout the planning process and cites his team as his greatest resource for learning more about the industry.

Dan graduated Cum Laude from Stevenson University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management. He also holds his Maryland Life and Health Insurance license and earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation in 2024.

When not in the office, Dan is an avid sports fan. He can often be found at Philadelphia Flyers games, supporting local college teams, or on the golf course.

Rebecca Hartnett, WMSSM

Senior Client Service Associate

Rebecca Hartnett joined BFG Financial Advisors in January 2012 as a client service associate. Becky has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry, having previously worked for companies such as Morgan Stanley and UBS.

While she is skilled at the technical aspects of her position, Becky notes that forming relationships with her clients and understanding their needs on a personal level is why she fell in love with the field of personal finance. As someone who is passionate about learning, the inclusive and collaborative culture within the firm keeps her excited to come to work every day and she’s always looking forward to learning something new from a colleague or client.

Becky holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She also earned her FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam), Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam), and Series 31 (Futures Managed Funds Exam) licenses.

When not in the office, Becky prefers the outdoors, constantly looking for new places to hike, camp, and explore. She is an avid traveler as well as reader, so destination and book recommendations are always welcomed.

Akram Ibrahim, APMA®

Senior Client Service Associate & Lead Trader

Akram Ibrahim is a senior client service associate and the lead trader at BFG Financial Advisors. He joined the team as an intern in November 2012 and accepted a position as a full-time employee working in the firm’s Investment Operations department upon graduating.

Akram is passionate about trading, working diligently to prove himself as a resource to his clients and an asset to his team. He values teamwork and credits his success in his career to the culture of the company and the positive attitudes of the coworkers who surround him.

Akram graduated from Stevenson University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He holds his FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative Examination) and 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) licenses through Kestra Investment Services, LLC and earned his Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor designation (APMA®) from the College of Financial Planning.

Outside of work, Akram can be found spending time with his family or in the gym. He is looking forward to taking up MMA and boxing as a hobby.

Joseph Mills

Client Service Associate

Joseph Mills joined BFG Financial Advisors in July 2022 as a client service associate. He works alongside his teammates to carry out the plans that our advisory teams put in place for our clients.

Joey is a rare breed, having learned from a young age the importance of saving for your future. He joined the firm excited to lend his passion for personal finance towards the financial independence goals of our clients.

Joey graduated from Towson University with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Financial Planning. Believing firmly that education is never complete, he will soon be working towards various financial certifications and hopes to eventually become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

When he isn’t at the office, he is traveling across the U.S. with a goal of visiting every professional baseball field in the country. While he’s already visited all but two, the New Jersey native will always consider Yankee Stadium to be his home field. 

Beth Nori, CFP®

Senior Client Service Associate

Beth Nori joined BFG Financial Advisors in October 2016 as an Associate after spending several years in the financial industry. She later moved into a Senior Client Service Associate role.

In this role, Beth works with the firm’s lead advisors, updating clients’ financial plans and assisting with recommendations for clients. She also attends client meetings and assists with the pre-meeting preparation and the post-meeting follow-up. Beth also serves as a member of the firm’s investment committee, where she assists in the selection of asset managers and investment vendors and partners.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Salisbury University. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2020, and also holds her FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and her Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) licenses through Kestra Investment Services, LLC. 

Outside of work, Beth is a wife and a mother of two young children.

Jennifer Palumbo

Client Relations Associate

Jen Palumbo joined BFG Financial Advisors in July 2015 as a Client Relations Associate.

Jen is the first point of contact for many of our clients, and often can predict who’s calling before answering the phone. Her many years at the firm has allowed her to form relationships with clients and get to know them on a personal—and nonfinancial—level. 

In her role, Jen serves as the office concierge and ensures that all of our clients are provided with the highest level of satisfaction, whether she’s scheduling their meetings and calls with our advisors or just reaching out to wish a happy birthday.

Jen earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University. She has worked in a number of financial services arenas, including banking and mortgage lending. Outside of work, she can be found at the gym, walking her dog, or spending time with her family and friends.

Amanda Pancake

Client Relations Associate & Director of Community Impact

Amanda Pancake is a Client Relations Associate at BFG Financial Advisors. She joined the firm at its inception in 2003 when the company was Brotman Financial Group.

In her position, Amanda is a first point of contact for clients and she has been able to build close relationships with clients throughout her career, continually proving she is a competent and trustworthy resource for them. She loves not only being part of their financial lives but seeing their families and personal lives evolve as well.

Amanda has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Salisbury University. She is constantly working to grow her position, taking on more roles as the company expands.

A mother of four, Amanda spends most of her free time at her children’s games, traveling as a family, and cuddling with her rescue dogs.
